About Us
It has taken a small army of dedicated employees and programmers over two years, but the new Kennards Hire website is now officially live and is already making waves in the industry. The first of its kind in Australia and New Zealand, the new site provides an innovative end-to-end solution for information/enquiry, booking and payment by juggling the three key factors: deliver/collect, cost and availability.
Acting CEO of Kennards Hire, Bill Whitehouse, said delivering a convenient option for future hiring was a key motivator for producing the new and innovative website.
“Around 70% of our hires are done within 24hrs of enquiry, because a lot of unexpected jobs can pop up on site last minute,” Bill explained. “To help customers with that, we wanted to provide an easy check-book-and-pay service that can also operate outside regular hours.”
A huge part in producing the website was the creation and updating of descriptions, features and specifications for each of the 3,600 products available through Kennards Hire. Add to that the thousands of corresponding images and corporate history details and you come close to ten thousand individual items across the site.
Website Project Manager Daniel Mylnikov from eWave, said customer service was the main focal point in the creation of the new site.
“We spent months refining it to be something that made sense and is easy for the customer, as well as providing world class customer service through a self-service experience,” Daniel said. “The website delivers on the Kennards Hire brand promise, ‘Make Your Job Easy’.”
With their mission to become the best hire company in the world, Kennards Hire has moved from an old, outdated, clunky website that had little more than an online brochure, to a cutting edge online hire offering incorporating a superior user experience. Widening the scope of their service, the new website appeals to all levels of Kennards Hire customers, from tradies and commercial users to DIYers, weekend warriors and everything inbetween.
All general hire, specialist branches and historical information can be accessed on the new site, as well as social media, news feed, videos, blog posts and an automated email marketing capability.
