Tradies across Sydney and coastal New South Wales are likely to be in high demand for roof repairs after one of the rainiest June days in the state's history over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
According to the NSW State Emergency Service, leaking roofs were the main subject of concern for its callers - with more than 200 calls for assistance made on June 11.
And with rain continuing to fall on the harbour city and surrounding areas, demand for property repairs is likely to remain high over the coming days and weeks.
Wind gusts reported at the end of last week (June 6) may also have resulted in roof damage - tiles and shingles often fall victim to unexpected gales and may need to be repaired or replaced.
Coastal areas continue to be at risk of flood damage, both in terms of rainfall and high tides in low-lying areas, so it's likely that repairs and other assistance will be in high demand in the next few days.
Fortunately for Sydneysiders, the Bureau of Meteorology reports that a sunnier forecast could be on its way - by Friday (June 15) maximum temperatures could reach 21 degrees C and the forecast calls for "mostly sunny" conditions.
