Weather forecasts for Sydney this week predict there will finally be some respite from the barrage of wet weather that has inundated the city this month.

With dry conditions expected towards the end of the week, it might be a good idea take advantage of the sunny weather to clean up your backyard, removing any debris or fallen branches that resulted from the drenching.

Hiring mini loaders or dumpers will assist you in moving unwanted material, such as leaves, dirt, fallen branches and any other debris which needs clearing.

If your property received more severe damage from the long-weekend deluge, you may find the hire of pumps useful to remove water from flood affected spots.

And with more wet weather likely throughout the next few months, the dry spell will enable you to prepare your property for winter conditions - including the removal of all hazardous tree limbs.

This month has so far swamped NSW and its capital city with treacherous weather - June 11 broke records as the wettest June day in five years, receiving 73mm of rain within 24 hours.

The weather wreaked havoc for motorists around the state with flooding in areas, and also causing flight delays at Sydney airport.
