While it can be fun to look at dresses, shoes and flowers, don't discount the pleasure you can get from also examining equipment such as generators and lighting tools during your wedding planning excursions.

There are many unique ways you can incorporate these tools into your nuptials for a hassle-free experience for all. Here are some ideas to get you started.

    Coffee and tea table

If you are planning an outdoor celebration, it can be hard to cater for everyone's needs. While you are sure to have a trestle table set up with plenty of wine for your guests to toast your happiness, how will you keep water hot for those wanting a refreshing cup of tea or an afternoon pick-me-up cup of coffee?

This is where a generator can come in handy, as you can pop it outdoors near the table to maintain a constant stream of hot water for your guests.

Who would have thought this humble item could be the answer to one of your wedding woes?

Alternatively, you could hire an electric urn to keep those teas and coffees coming. This saves room and means you can keep all guests happy.

    Props for wedding photos

Everyone wants some unique and original wedding photographs to show off. One way to create some gems is to pose on equipment, or to have your photographer stand up high to snap some unique images.

Why not use a cherry picker to capture the entire wedding party and guests in one memorable image?

Or rent an excavator to pose with - this will guarantee you some original snaps, that's for sure! And it's perfect for a rural Australian wedding, so if you are getting married on the farm, this is definitely something to consider.

    Traffic signs

Make sure you point guests in the right direction so they don't miss out on the festivities. There is nothing worse than guests arriving late because they didn't know where to go.

A few signs can point them in the right direction and you could even personalise these to make a real statement.

    Kids table

While you won't need any heavy duty equipment to take pride of place in this area, it could be important to set up some activities to keep the youngsters entertained.

Hire a few tables and chairs and set the kids up with colouring in books, some stickers or some bottles of bubble mixture. Treats won't go amiss either but make sure you allow for any special dietary requirements.
